Transforming Love is a self-paced discipleship course designed to help you understand your struggle with sin and offer you encouragement and hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ. In six 30-minute sessions this course will offer hope and practical help to a woman wrestling with things like:
- Pornography
- Masturbation
- Sexual expression outside of marriage between a man and a woman
- Confusion about gender identity
- Same sex attraction
While the struggles a woman brings to this course may vary greatly, all the content is anchored in God’s Word and Gospel hope for women bowed down with shame and isolation. Transforming Love will address the deeper heart motivations behind sinful desires and behaviors, in order to pursue holiness from the heart, rather than merely focusing on outward behavior.
These discipleship sessions seek to be a starting point for a woman struggling with sexual sin, or someone who is walking alongside her. Transforming Love can be explored on your own, or with a mentor, or small group of women. Each session comes with a participant guide and some questions for further reflection.
Transforming Love seeks to answer:
- Will God ever love me after all the things I’ve done
- Where do sinful behaviors come from?
- Is there hope for real change?
- How do I understand how my suffering intersects with my patterns of sexual sin?
- What does it mean practically to fight for holiness when I’ve felt stuck for so long?
- What does the Bible and God have to do with my sexual desires and struggles?

Aimed at helping women with sexual struggles, this user-friendly course is fresh, biblical, heart-focused, and practical.
Rooted in holistic Christ-centered change, it also takes wise account of biology and circumstances. Clear and engaging videos are accompanied by helpful notes and links for further reading. I envisage it being used fruitfully by individuals, groups, or in pastoral care or counseling. Transforming Love fills an important gap and will be immensely helpful to churches and caring ministries.
Dr. Andrew CollinsDirector of the BCUK Certificate Programme, biblical counselor, former NHS psychiatrist -
Sexual struggles and temptation are often accompanied by shame and silence for most of us.
The helpful training resource of Transforming Love provides an individual—or, better yet, a small group of women—a foundational start to the conversation. Both Ellen and Caitlin speak with tenderness to the listener, drawing you in with a clear message of the love of Jesus and how he compels transformation in our hearts and actions.
Emily C. Nixon Assistant Vice President of Internships, Reformed University Fellowship -
Transforming Love is akin to the loving wisdom of a king to his son in Proverbs, yet for women in a technologically-saturated, sex-exalting, and individualistic culture.
Ellen and Caitlin are gracious guides inviting women to abide in Christ, to forsake false loves, and to delight in God. This course will be my first resource to share with counselees who are forsaking sexual sin and for facilitating groups of women pursuing sexual holiness in the local church.
Shannon CappsMA in Counseling, Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), Resident, Fieldstone Counseling -
Transforming Love graciously teaches that no part of our lives is untouched by Christ’s love.
Ellen and Caitlin offer a thoughtful, gospel-centered framework for recognizing and turning from any sin struggle. Their message is accessible to both believers and non-believers, encouraging women to experience the goodness of the Lord. As women understand their identity in Christ, they will be better equipped to disciple and impact the next generation.

Transforming Love is an amazing resource for women who struggle with sexual sin. It is intensely biblical, practical, and personal.
The truth of the gospel is communicated with compassion and a call to change. Often, women who struggle with sexual sin do not understand how it connects to their daily lives. This course helps illuminate how women’s pasts, behaviors, motivations, and desires connect in a way that brings clarity and hope. I wish this had been available when I was younger!

Harvest USA has consistently created the tools the church needs in our current cultural context, and Transforming Love is no exception.
With its trademark compassion and convictional clarity, this discipleship resource is sure to be a huge help to countless women. The videos and participant guide are warm and personal, allowing participants to engage deeply and biblically with a topic that is too often ignored, especially in women’s ministries. This is a resource that women in my local church have been asking for, and I cannot wait for us to get started. Truly, from start to finish, thanks to God’s great love, the journey is transformational.
Jen OshmanSpeaker, women’s ministry director, and author (Enough About Me: Find Lasting Joy in an Age of Self) -
This is a big step for me as I seek God’s help for sexual purity. It’s reorienting me and helping me take practical steps towards holiness.

God used it as a reminder of why I tried in the past to overcome sexual addiction instead of just giving into it.
I don’t have to white knuckle my way through this addiction. He actually offers everything I need.

Transforming Love is an accessible and effective discipleship tool that will complement women’s ministry discipleship in the local church.
These short videos’ warm, relational style, coupled with rich theological depth, will engage participants in rooting their identity firmly in Christ and examining the heart motivations that may lead to sexual sins that can easily entangle us. Now more than ever before, the church needs resources that help women think proactively about biblical sexuality rather than reactively.
